The Multidimensional Poverty Index of Guatemala (MPI-GT) is the result of a process of consultations and discussions with different governmental and non-governmental actors that took place from June 2017 to September 2018.
The MPI-GT is composed of five dimensions:Health and food and nutritional security; Education; Decent employment; Access to services; and Housing and is composed by 17 indicators. For the calculation of the MPI-GT, the 2014 Living Conditions Survey (Encovi) was used.
The results reveal that in Guatemala 61.6 percent of the people (95% CI 58.6-64.7) live in multidimensional poverty, that is, six out of 10 Guatemalans face deprivation in 30 percent or more of the weighted indicators included in the MPI-GT.

Guatemala uses the Global MPI as measure of poverty to track SDG indicator 1.2.2 as a provisional basis. Full Report Here.
