The Oxford Poverty and Human Development Initiative (OPHI) is delighted to announce an afternoon of two Distinguished Public Lectures on Bhutan, by the Former Prime Minister of Bhutan, His Excellency Dasho Tshering Tobgay, and the President of the Center for Bhutan Studies & Gross National Happiness, Dasho Karma Ura.
Organized by the Oxford Poverty and Human Development Initiative (OPHI), University of Oxford, and the Ministry of Social Development of Panama, the regional workshop will be held in Panama City, from March 25 to 29, 2019. Deadline to apply to the workshop: January 18, 2019.
Former Colombian President and Nobel Peace Laureate Juan Manuel Santos began a three-year Visiting Professorship at ODID this month with a Distinguished Public Lecture, in which he shared his experience of negotiating peace and pursuing poverty reduction in Colombia, and with a series of informal meetings with academics and students.
