Register now for MPPN Side-Event at 53rd Session of the UNSC
24 January 2022 – Register now for an online MPPN Side Event at the 53rd UN Statistical Commission, ‘Using Multidimensional Poverty Data to Leave No One Behind’, on Tuesday, 15 February at 9am (NY time).
This year, it is vital to measure and fight poverty in all its forms so that the most vulnerable populations find adequate support to build better lives and societies now and into the future. The Multidimensional Poverty Index (MPI) continues to gain momentum as a powerful tool for tracking progress in pro-poor poverty reduction.
In keeping with the 2022 UNSC theme of ‘Better Data, Better Lives’, this high-level Side Event will convene lead statisticians from more than ten countries to explain how they are updating and communicating national MPIs proactively in order to inform high-impact policies that end poverty and bring historic change.
